This is a point-to-point ride from Union Station Los Angeles to Santa Fe Depot in San Diego. For 2026, we will debut this route on the Summer Solstice to take advantage of the abundant daylight. The early start means that most riders will be able to take the last Pacific Surfliner of the night back to LA.
This is a minimally supported ride. Riders are responsible for obtaining their own food and water out on the course. There is no SAG vehicle.

This is a challenging ride with over 32,000 ft of climbing, passing over mountains, through desert, valleys, and along the coast, with visits to several interesting Southern California landmarks.
The first day travels from Santa Clarita to Tehachapi and on to Keene, California. The route crosses the Sierra Pelona Mountains and into the Antelope Valley. It then travels north to Tehachapi over the Tehachapi Mountains and through a wind farm, then passes the Tehachapi Loop (a railroad track loop that is so tight the trains pass over themselves) down to Keene. It returns along the same roads past the windmills and then heads to Palmdale where it stops by the Blackbird (SR-71) Air Park before heading back to Santa Clarita along the San Gabriel Mountains.
The second day travels through the Santa Clara River valley before turning to head up to the Ojai Valley. Leaving the Ojai Valley it goes past Casitas Lake and over the Casitas Pass double bump, it turns and heads up to Santa Barbara and Goleta, returning along the coast to Ventura and Oxnard before crossing the Oxnard Plains, crossing through Simi Valley and along the top of the San Fernando Valley and through the Newhall Pass back to Santa Clarita.
The third day travels the northern edge of the San Gabriel Valley and up into San Dimas Canyon. Returning across the San Gabriel Valley over the Santa Fe Dam, it takes a tour of Griffith Park with a spectacular view of the Hollywood sign and a visit to the Griffith Park Observatory, and then returns through the San Fernando Valley and Newhall pass to Santa Clarita and the finish.
The ride starts at the Best Western Six Flags Inn in Valencia. Each of the days' rides will finish at this hotel so riders can re-supply. In general, riders will need to find their own food and water out on the course, but we will provide support in remote locations if no services are available.

This ride has a mix of scenery- the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley, Griffith Park, Northeast L.A., the Rio Hondo and Lario trails down to Long Beach, and the San Gabriel Trail back to the start. This route is the Day 2 route of the Rosemead Loopy 600k, which will be happening on the same weekend. It is a bit longer than 200k, but because it is a RUSA-sanctioned brevet, you will get extra time for the extra distance.
The ride has about 3800 feet of climbing, almost all of it early in the ride.

This is a new 600k route for 2026. It is designed to be relatively flat and also logistically simple. About half the ride is on class 1 bike paths. The ride starts in Rosemead at the Quality Inn, which is a reasonably priced hotel- Riders are encouraged to book a room here for the overnight.
Day 1, the first 388 km, is based on our Pasadena/Upper SART 300k route, with additional km added on the lower SART and in Irvine. This segment finishes back at the Quality Inn for the overnight control, where we will provide you with hot food. You are welcome to leave a small drop bag with the volunteers at the ride start- they will have it for you when you arrive at the overnight control.
Day 2, about 215 km, heads north up the SGRT, then west on the foothill route through Pasadena and Glendale. Next you will do a little loop through Griffith Park and work your way back to the Rio Hondo Trail via Eagle Rock and South Pasadena. The final river trail segment heads down to Long Beach on the Lario Trail and comes back up to Rosemead on the SGRT.
This is a minimally supported ride. Food will be provided at the overnight control and at the finish. Other than that, riders must obtain their own food and water out on the course. There are many parks, minimarts, fast food restaurants, etc. on the route. There is no SAG- if you need to abandon you will need to find your own way back to the start.

The ride starts in Pasadena and makes it's way over to Highway 39, which goes up San Gabriel Canyon past two large dams. Then you will do a lovely out-and-back along the West Fork of the San Gabriel River on a (mostly) car-free road through a beautiful, wooded canyon. Then you will turn around and head back to Pasadena.
The ride has about 4700 feet of climbing, almost all of it early in the ride. None of the climbing is very steep, except for the very end of the West Fork Rd..
Make sure you begin the ride with ample pocket food. There is no convenient place to get food on the route. This is a minimally-supported ride. Riders are responsible for obtaining their own food and water out on the course. There is no SAG vehicle.
This is a nice 300k in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. It starts in Moorpark and makes a sequence of jaunts to Fillmore, Ojai and then Carpinteria. Most of the roads will be familiar to you from our other brevets in this region. There are some climbs, but the overall elevation gain is only about 6000 ft. The finish will be in Moorpark at the Jones's home, where we can enjoy food and socializing.

This is a new route based on permanent #5335. The route begins in Pasadena and heads through Glendale toward Griffith Park, where we do a couple great climbs on roads closed to vehicles. After leaving Griffith Park, the ride returns to Pasadena via La Tuna Canyon Rd and the usual route through La Crescenta and Montrose. The finish will be at Handel's for Ice Cream!
This is a minimally supported ride. Riders are responsible for obtaining their own food and water on the course. There is no SAG vehicle.
This is a populaire based on permanent #5318. It is a climby route along the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains that includes the Santa Anita Canyon (Chantry) and San Dimas Canyon climbs.
This is an self-supported ride. Riders will need to obtain their own water and food out on the course. There is no SAG vehicle.
This is a new 200k route, based on permanent #5445(The Spot). It begins in Oxnard and works its way up to Isla Vista, near UCSB. The route includes many of our favorite roads and paths. There is 4400 feet of climbing, so you will get a good workout. The return is mostly along the coast, which will be a blessing on a hot day.
This is an unsupported ride. Riders will need to obtain their own water and food out on the course. There is no SAG vehicle.

The route is preliminary at this point- there is always a chance that fires or landslides will close roads and force us to reroute. More details about the ride will be coming to this page soon.
This is an ACP 600k with at least 8,000 meters of climbing. It is intended to fulfill one of the requirements of the ACP R-10,000 Award, but can also be ridden by anyone looking for a challenging, mountainous 600k.
